Onboarding B2B video realization, London, UK - 2024, www.ig.com/uk

The brief required building a new onboarding video within the partnership program to show how to establish new business relationships between IG and profiles like influencers, affiliates, and refer-a-friend people.
It was essential to stick to IG's design system as much as possible, particularly using their design assets only from their internal store, such as icons, illustrations, and pictures. There wasn't any official internal video as a referral about motions to build, but clients indicated several generic corporate reels on YouTube that were taken as a good source of inspiration.
As a motion designer, my main duty was to collect all these instances and make them consistent together, alongside the approved storyboard.

Client design system - overview

First of all, we had a meeting with the client to understand the most important thing, which is what the client wants. During this brief, we listed all the requests from the client account, asking about budget, deadlines, etc., and trying to understand what was possible to achieve and how.
Right after, internally, our team regrouped in a debrief, discussing and building up the video storyboard, where I contributed with my ideas and estimated how long each step would take.

Right after the meetings, we gathered all the client assets together, including design system insights, design assets, and referral videos.

Storyboard (PowerPoint format)

Once the storyboard was created, we proposed it to the client for approval. Then, once approved, we moved on to the production step right away.

Final draft

The last step was building the video, where I put elements on screen and made them move.
The draft approval required quite a bit of back-and-forth between us and the client and internally between me and accounts, with a lot (a lot) of "latest versions," but after about 2 weeks, and something like 12/13 drafts, we finalized it and got the video approved.
Yeeeeah!
